Peace & Justice

St Andrew’s Psalter Lane Church in Nether Edge, Sheffield has an active Peace and Justice Group.

It works hard to raise awareness of global and local issues and seeks to co-ordinate and encourage members of our community to take practical steps to support local actions. In recent times, these have included support of those seeking asylum and refuge in Sheffield, those struggling to find accommodation and start working, those who are disadvantaged and struggling to break out of poverty.

Our church has strong links to the City of Sanctuary movement, founded in Sheffield in 2005 and now spread across the UK and globe, building more welcoming cities and communities for people rebuilding their lives here.
