People's Emergency Briefing Screening and Discussion, Sunday 13th September

This is a new film featuring Chris Packham and leading experts who set out the evidence on the climate and nature crisis. The film was hard-hitting, and gave a real understanding of the urgency and horror of the climate challenge, but also offered solutions and reasons to feel hopeful. The event was very well attended – around 160 people (including a baby and a dog) and it was really heartening to see lots of young people taking this issue so seriously. There was a very interesting discussion after the film.

Thanks to Eco Group members who organised the event, including Janette Hurst who facilitated the discussion.

We have received a message from the Climate Ambassadors programme, a national Department for Education funded volunteering scheme, who  would like us to share their volunteering scheme with attendees at this People’s Emergency Briefing. This scheme would be a great way for attendees to support local education settings, take climate action and become more sustainable.
