Posada at St Andrews Psalter Lane Church
‘Posada’ (Spanish for ‘inn’) is a Christmas activity running through Advent. Mary and Joseph travel around different households and stay there for one night.
People sign up in advance, offering to host Mary and Joseph for a night. It’s open to everyone, and lots of people find it’s a great way to be involved in the Christmas story - it’s a chance to host Mary and Joseph – to make room for Jesus at Christmas time!
On Christmas eve, the figures are returned to church, during Christingle, as everyone gets ready to welcome the Christ child once again.
The sign-up sheet to host Mary and Joseph will be in the Narthex – please sign up to this wonderful activity.

We’re going to have a craft afternoon in church on Sunday 7th December so that we can prepare the labels and finish off our creations before taking them out in the early evening (as soon as it gets dark enough) and putting them on trees and benches and walls and fences, so that people can take a gift from SAPLC home to hang on their tree, or just to be a part of their Christmas time this year. Please come along and help if you can.
