St Andrew’s Psalter Lane Posada 2025
After the children decorated the tree at our Advent Carol Service, Mary and Joseph set off on their Posada - staying with a different family every day during Advent before coming back to church for the Christingle Service on Christmas Eve, ready to welcome the Christ Child.
2nd December: Mary and Joseph had fun with new friends last night before settling down for a cosy night's sleep.
This morning they enjoyed boiled eggs and soldiers before setting off on the next stage in their long journey!
6th December: Mary and Joseph were glad to rest after an exciting trip to see the Christmas lights!
10th December: Mary and Joseph have been finding out more about the area they're travelling through.
15th December: Mary and Joseph have made a festive new friend on their travels - he's offered them a lift for the next stage in their journey, but they had to turn him down because the donkey is afraid of heights.
3rd December: Mary and Joseph tried to blend in with the locals as they were travelling...
7th December: Thankful that Sunday is a day of rest, Mary and Joseph tackled the crossword. The donkey wasn't much help.
11th December: Mary and Joseph were glad to have a nice rest and the donkey loved getting to know Eeyore!
16th December: Santa introduced Mary and Joseph to one of his reindeer - the donkey was especially excited to make another friend.
20th December: Mary and Joseph are trying to travel in a sustainable way - this includes recycling their photos!
4th December: Mary and Joseph found an amazing candle with their pictures on it!
1st December: Their first hosts said, 'Mary and Joseph are very quiet guests, and grateful for everything. They don't eat a lot but they like mince pies, and the donkey enjoyed his carrot. They are very tired and have now gone to bed. They chose this for their sleeping arrangements.'
8th December: Mary and Joseph liked the chocolate Advent Calendar almost as much as the Advent Candle!
12th December: The donkey decided that Brussels sprouts were his new favourite food, but Joseph wasn't sure Mary should try them.
13th December: On a chilly December night, Mary and Joseph are particularly grateful to their host for the cosy bed.

17th December: Mary and Joseph pased for a break under a lovely little Christmas tree
21st December: Mary and Joseph had a very exciting Sunday, meeting a Bishop and a BFG (Big Furry Giant)!
24th December: Mary and Joseph (and the donkey) have finished their journey and returned to church to await the birth of the Christ Child.
They are very grateful to all the innkeepers who cared for them so well!
18th December: Embarrassed by their spelling mistake last night, Mary and Joseph took a break from social media today – no pictures!
5th December: Mary looks as if she may be getting a bit fed up with all the travelling...
9th December: Mary and Joseph enjoyed the Sheffield Carols evening, then after a long drive to their night’s accommodation, they were ready for another nice cup of tea.
14th December: A hearty breakfast of Weetabix (and carrot) set Mary and Joseph up for another day of travelling.
19th December: Mary and Joseph have been welcomed by another innkeeper - they are so grateful for the generosity they been shown on their long journey!
The donkey is grateful for a rest.
22nd December: After travelling for so long, Mary and Joseph are glad that their journey is nearly over, but they still take the time to enjoy the beautiful places they visit and the lovely decorations they see.
The donkey just wishes the branches were lower on this tree, so he could try a little nibble...
23rd December: Mary and Joseph are amazed that their journey is so near it's end!
