An opportunity to ask questions, hosted by a local church holding an Eco Church Silver Award. What difference does being an Eco Church make in practice? How to get started? Saturday 13th November 2021 19:00Hannah Thompson-Smith (violin) and Timothy Uglow (piano)A St Andrew's Music Festival concert. Hannah is an outstanding soloist with a very varied career. She enjoys playing a wide range of musical styles from Baroque to modern, and accompanied Aled Jones on the BBC Christmas Carol Special in 2020. Timothy is a keyboard performer in considerable demand; as an organist and harpsichordist he has performed as a soloist at many of the UK's leading cathedrals and concert halls. There will be a limited number of seats available so we suggest arriving at around 6.30 pm. Tickets cost £5.00 on the door (children free) and refreshments will be available.

09:00Sunday2Everyone is welcome at our inclusive, welcoming and joyous service that is filled with music, crafts and quiet times! This morning's service is led by Imogen and begins at 9.30, after breakfast is served at 9.00. The service will also be live streamed for those who are not able to join us in church; the link will be available shortly before the service begins.
10:40Service of RemembranceThe church will be open for quiet prayer from 10.40 am, with a short service of remembrance starting at 10.50 and proceeding to the war memorial outside for 11.00.
19:00Anthony Brown (saxophone) and Leo Nicholson (piano)A St Andrew's Music Festival concert. Anthony and Leo have performed together all over the UK for nearly a decade; this evening they will perform a mix of British, French, Russian and American music, including the world premiere of 'Far Cry' by local composer George Nicholson. There will be a limited number of seats available so we suggest arriving at around 6.30 pm. Tickets cost £5.00 on the door (children free) and refreshments will be available.
Tuesday 16th November 2021 19:00Time Remembered Jazz Ensemble with Jascha Bingham (piano)A St Andrew's Music Festival concert. This group of Sheffield-based jazz musicians - Hannah Brady (alto saxophone), Henrik Linneman (flutes), Graham Jones (double bass) and Jude Sacker (piano) - will be playing some favourite standards as well as their own compositions. Jascha Bingham was born in Sheffield and intends to pursue a career in jazz. There will be a limited number of seats available so we suggest arriving at around 6.30 pm. Tickets cost £5.00 on the door (children free) and refreshments will be available.

15:00Faith TrailTo celebrate Interfaith Week this year (14th - 21st November), Sheffield City Council, together with the FaithStar organisation, will be putting on a Faith Trail across the city. Places of worship of different faiths will be open at different points during the week. SAPLC will be open on the afternoon of Wednesday 17th November from 3.00 - 5.00 pm. Refreshments will be available.

Saturday 20th November 2021 19:00Black Velvet Clarinet Quartet A Memorial Concert for Steve Dumpleton, as part of the St Andrew's Music Festival The Black Velvet Quartet, who have been playing together for 12 years, very sadly lost Steve in May 2021; his transcription of Ray Kohn's 'Birds stop flying', which was written especially for the quartet, will receive its first performance tonight. There will be a limited number of seats available so we suggest arriving at around 6.30 pm. Tickets cost £5.00 on the door (children free) and refreshments will be available.

Sunday 28th November 2021 10:30Advent Service and Gift DayAt this morning's service, which is led by Imogen, we will be collecting gifts for the mums and babies helped by Baby Basics - and there will also be a special gift for everyone who comes (while stocks last...). Clare Loughridge will be selling Christmas cards after the service, with all profits going to church funds.
