Weddings

The church offers a bright attractive setting for weddings. We are able to offer weddings in both the Church of England and Methodist traditions. For a Church of England wedding, one of the couple needs to have a residence within the parish (see map) or else be a regular member of the church (on the Electoral Roll); for a Methodist wedding the residence qualification is the city of Sheffield. For those whose previous marriage (or civil partnership) was dissolved we may in most cases be able to offer a wedding at St Andrew's Psalter Lane, subject to a discussion with one of the clergy. To discuss and book a wedding, please contact the vicar in the first instance.

Funerals

The church is available for funerals during the week, and the clergy are always available to help you plan the celebration of a life and a fitting farewell to your loved one, whether in church or at the crematorium. If the deceased person lived in the parish, whether or not they were a regular member here, please consider whether the church might provide the most appropriate setting for your funeral. We seek to offer pastoral support for the bereaved after a funeral. The first point of contact for a funeral is usually your chosen funeral director. If you would like us to be involved, please tell the funeral director, and they will get in touch with us, to find a mutually convenient time.
